We’re loving the latest trend for textured tiles, but while these 3D patterned tiles look fantastic, it does make them much trickier to add grout to. We’ve put together some quick tips to help you when fixing textured tiles with grout.
- Wet the tiles first – wipe the tiles you are about to grout with a damp cloth, this should stop the grout sticking to them and make it easier to wipe off.
- Clean excess straight away – once you notice some grout on your tiles clean it off straight away, the longer you leave it the harder it will be to remove.
- Keep within the lines – when grouting textured tiles try and keep as much in the joints between the tiles as possible. Use a grout bag (similar to an piping/pastry bag) to apply the grout into the joints neatly and easily.
- Use a toothbrush – gently scrub at grout stuck in small or awkward spaces in the tiles.
- Don’t use household cleaning products – if you can’t get the stubborn film off the tiles use a product like a Cement Grout Film Remover.
