BAL are excited to launch a new tile adhesive that has been developed with fixers; BAL XL Floor One. Based on the performance of BAL Pourable One, this new evolution in technology will replace the older technology providing increased performance for fixers.
BAL XL Floor One has all the benefits of BAL Pourable One with increased additional performance and improved capabilities. The pot life and and working time has been doubled to 90 minutes! - meaning you can mix up full, or multiple bags with confidence that it won't go off before use, keeping the installation easy.
The open time of BAL XL Floor One has been tripled to 60 minutes - which means larger areas can be ribbed with adhesive for large format tiling, without the adhesive going off. This also provides plenty of time to adjust tiles too!
Perfect for floor tiling, particularly for large format tiles BAL XL Floor One will provide:
- Ease of solid bed fixing; back-buttering not required to achieve solid bed
- Longer open time means more time to spread your adhesive - no more spreading just a metre at a time!
- Extremely usable with a super smooth, creamy rheology that is easy to mix and spread
- More adjustment time - great for installing larger format tiles & when using special handling tools or levelling clips
- Thixotropic gel rheology adhesive ribs collapse under the tile with no need to twist the tile
- Avoids the use for a separate leveller - can be used for filling isolated dips in the subfloor with larger adhesive build-ups of up to 25mm
- It's very versatile - suitable with all floors and tiles
- Can be used direct over Underfloor Heating Cables - an advantage over standard adhesives that can't be used over electric UFH cables
- It's a "True overnighter" - because of it's 6-hour set-time you can grout the next morning!
