The original Marmox Multiboard is ideal for a variety of applications, which is why it’s one of the leading boards on the market today. Multiboards have a wide range of uses from waterproofing walls and floors to providing thermal insulation and dry lining. When used in bathrooms you get a tile backer board, waterproofing, and insulation all in one easy to install board! Marmox Multiboards are also used as insulation boards and are the easiest solution for insulating and waterproofing a room in one quick and easy install. Because of the length of these boards, we offer a Click and Collect service only on Marmox Long Tile Backer Boards.

Made from reinforced high performance extruded polystyrene, each side of the waterproof board is faced with fibreglass mesh embedded into a cement polymer mortar. This rigid construction makes these boards perfect to use on the floor with underfloor heating wire systems. Using Multiboards in this scenario improves the efficiency and reduces your heating costs. These boards are also used as tile backer boards because they act as an effective and easy to work with decoupling layer. As the Marmox Multiboard is safely and securely fixed to walls and floors, it forms a barrier between them and your tiles. This helps to prevent tiles and grout cracking due to horizontal movement.

We routinely see Multiboards used as waterproof tile backer boards, electric underfloor heating insulation and in wet room construction. They can also used for dry lining and insulation of cellars and loft conversions, as well as rigid partition wall boarding too. Here at The London Tile Co we stock the standard Marmox Multiboards in 2400mm x 600mm in thicknesses ranging from 10mm up to 12.5mm.
