The Genesis EFA Aluminium Formable Tile Trim is an L shaped extruded aluminium profile. It is designed to provide a solution to the problem of protecting edges of the floor finishes in curved areas. In choosing aluminium as a finishing profile the suitability of its installation must be determined if chemical or mechanical stresses are anticipated.
These trims come in 2.5 metre long lengths, except for EFA040.80, EFA060.80 and EFA180.80 which are 2.7 metres long. All Genesis EFA trims can be easily cut to size.
Follow the guide below to install Genesis EFA Aluminium Formable Tile Trims
- Select ESA/EFA according to tile thickness.
- Trowel tile adhesive over the area that forms the perimeter of the tiled covering.
- Press the perforated anchoring leg of the ESA into the tile adhesive and align, mechanical fix if required.
- Trowel additional adhesive over the perforated anchoring leg to ensure full coverage.
- Solidly embed the tiles so that the tiled surface is flush with the top of the profile, the profile should not be higher than the tiled surface, but rather up to approximately 1mm lower.
- Fill the joint completely with grout.
Delivery Options
Genesis EFA trims are delivered direct from the manufacturer. Because they comes in 2.5 & 2.7 metre lengths, there is an automatic £15.99 long length standard delivery charge. These trims are then despatched by the manufacturer on a 1 - 2 day service.
