Decoupling Membranes

Decoupling Membranes are designed to prevent newly laid floor tiles from cracking or lifting as the substrate beneath them slowly moves or cracks in any way. An uncoupling membrane is used most often when laying floor tiles over concrete, but it can also be used as a waterproof layer or when tile backer boards would add too much height to the floor.
